Happy Saturday everyone, today I think it is time to get scrappy with Mary Kate. I want to show you some of the layouts she has created, one because they will inspire you to scrap, and two just because I love them. I admire all the Trixie Scraps Stars, but there is something about Mary Kate’s pages that are just so special.
I’m a big fan of one photo layouts and when it is a big photo that is even better. Mary Kate uses Nature Boy to create a wonderful layout featuring a large photo of deer. I think the picture is very cool, but I love how she created a sense of flow across the page with her use of flowers.
She used the kit Nature Boy which is a great kit because it is great for boy layouts, girl layouts and even deer layouts.
This layout is probably my most favorite in a long time. First she uses a quote by Dr. Seuss, which I love and then the way she did the photo and the cluster in the corner. I am just in awe. I love the perspective of the photo too. Ok I admit it, I “heart” this layout.
The kit she used for this layout is called Change Your Fate which is a collab by Trixie and Britt-ish Designs. The kit is packed with fun elements, and has such awesome colors. It works for boys or girls and is simply fun to use.
The last layout I picked just jumps off the screen at you. I think she did an awesome job of capturing cute photos of her daughter, and the page has elephants on it. Now I’m a big elephant lover, so that was a big draw for me, but different shaped photos really draw my eye and the bright pops of color just make the page warm and happy.
Now the kit used for this layout is King of the Pride and is perfect to scrap your zoo photos as well as your hot summer photos. I love all the animals in the kit, but the elephants are my favorite (don’t tell the others I don’t want to start a riot). It is hard not to be happy when you see the sunny colors of this kit.
Well that wraps up my walk through Mary Kate’s layouts for this week. If you want to see more layouts by her check out the Trixie Scraps Stars gallery, you will certainly find lots of inspiration there.
