Saturday With The Stars: Winter Carolers

Last year I fell instantly in love with a kit Trixie made. It is called Winter Carolers and it is beautiful!

Something about this kit just drew me in. I don’t know if it was the musical theme to it or the colors or the fun song word strips, maybe it was everything about the kit. I just know it became an instant favorite for me. I was even more in love with this kit when I saw the different ways it can be used.

Stacy’s layout is wonderful. I love that her background of choice was the sheet music one. I also like that she kept her patterned papers to a minimum and her choice of a black and white photo really brings this beautiful layout together. She has some beautiful clusters on her layout and I like that she tucked her word art in underneath the flowers.

I love the way Kassie scrapped the photo of her kids. She also made her photo black and white which helps bring attention to the photo, but also works quite well with this kit. I love that she used lyrics to a Christmas carol for her journaling and I can’t stop looking at the clusters she used.

Lori’s page reminds me of a Christmas card. She put this layout together beautifully. I am amazed at how great the old photo looks and the way she surrounded the photo with simple papers and very subtle elements. She chose a great font to match the feel of her layout as well.

I love that MK thought to scrap pictures of the weather. As much as I hate driving in the snow and being outside in the cold, I’ve always loved wintery scenes. MK’s photos are breathtaking and so beautiful. I love the ribbon and lace on this layout as well as the cute clusters. I also like the mix of a font and alpha for her title.

Then we have Kris’ layout. Her layout is completely focused on music and I love it. It’s not necessarily a Christmas page, which is a huge bonus for this kit. I love all the fun papers she used for her banners and her use of elements. She too used a mixture of ribbon and lace and I really like the feel it gives this page. Finally I love that she included the little note element in one of her clusters.

While you’re taking photos this holiday season, take some that will work with this kit. This kit needs some new love and we’d love to see this kit in action in the gallery. Happy Holidays and Happy Scrapping!
