Hello everyone, Lisa here, with my very first Challenge Thursday post at the Trixie Scraps Stars blog! Last week, Carrin challenged you to create a layout using her fabulous template. Take a look at this wonderful layout submitted by Angie (AZK). She used the template and Trixie Scraps “Birthday Bash {Girl}” kit.

This week, in honor of all those kids (and adults!) heading back to school, we’re going to use some photo templates in our layouts. Your challenge this week is to use one or more of these photo templates in a layout using Trixie Scraps products.

Here are two versions of a layout I created for this challenge using Trixie’s new kit “Love My Guy” (available now at Gotta Pixel, and being released 8/20 at ScrapMatters).

In this first layout, I recolored the photo border to coordinate with the greens in the kit:

In this version, I left the photo border white and reduced the opacity to 40%:

Carrin created this layout using Trixie’s “Hot for Teacher” collab kit. I love how she used the template for her journaling instead of a photo!

Gail also used the “Hot for Teacher” kit to create her layout:

Erica used “Hot for Teacher”, “Love My Guy” and “Sunday Afternoon” in her layout. She also recolored the photo border to make it black.
