Welcome to another TTT Tuesday! I’m Jamie and I would like to show you a quick and easy tutorial on how to create half-tone photos in Photoshop. I know this works in versions CS2 and higher. I haven’t tried it in other versions.

First I choose the photo I would like to use. I like to choose photos that are brightly colored, or have muted colors. Denim also looks great in these kinds of photos. Then I make any adjustments that I want on the picture, like color adjustments and levels.

Making sure that you are on the background layer, click on Hue/Saturation. You can find this in the layers palette. Click on the black and white circle, and scroll up until you find it. Once there you will see some sliding bars. Find the one that says saturation. If you move it to the left you will take saturation out. If you move it to the right you will add saturation. We want to take it out, so we are going to move the bar to the left. You can take out as little or as much as you want. The closer you get to the end of the bar the closer to black and white you get.

With all the changes that we just made, don’t forget to flatten your image when you are done.
