Hi, everyone! Lisa here with this week’s edition of Tips, Trends and Techniques Tuesday. This week I’ve got a quick tip for you on an easy (and inexpensive) way to print your own wallet sized photos. I’ve included a download link for you to two 4″x6″ templates that I created…one for printing 3″x4″ wallet sized photos, and another for printing 2″x3″ mini wallets.
I love how easy it is to create my own wallet sized photos this way, and it’s a lot less expensive than ordering wallet sized photos. I did a quick online search, and most of the usual suspects for photo printing charge an average of anywhere from $0.25 – $0.58 per wallet photo. And yet their average cost of a 4″x6″ print is somewhere between $0.10 – $0.20 per print. So by printing on 4″x6″ paper, it’s only costing me $0.05 – $0.10 per wallet sized photo, less if I’m printing mini wallets! And I also have a stash of 4″x6″ photo paper at home that I sometimes use for printing my own wallet sized photos on my printer.

I love this idea. I’m pretty new to all of this so if this request is out of line, pls let me know. I make cards for friends and family. Would it be possible to make a four picture template that fits 8.5 x 11.0 photo paper, so that the resulting pictures are 4.25 x 5.5 and (if I’m not pressing my luck), templates in both landscape and portrait orientation? Boy! Would that make my life easier! If this is not possible, could I trouble you to direct me somewhere I could learn to make a template myself? Thank you again.
