Sunday Spotlight

Hi, Trixie Scraps fans! It’s Carrin and I’m here to bring you the latest edition of Sunday Spotlight. I took a trip through the Trixie Scraps Gallery and came across a bunch of super cute pages by a scrapper named Tanja. I shot her a quick message and asked her if she would like to be our featured scrapper for today! Let’s get to know Tanja a little better, shall we?

Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a 32 year old mom of two wonderful little girls and wife to a marvelous husband. We live in a small town near Nuremberg, Germany with our guinea pigs.

When did you start scrapping?
I started in 2007 with simple layouts. Since 2010, the pages are getting better.

What inspires your layouts?
There are so many things that inspire me. The colors of nature, art or my moods. I look often in online galleries to see what amazing layouts other scrappers did. I love to use templates. Sometimes I combine two or three of them.

What is one thing you have to have on all your layouts?
I love flowers on my layouts. I usually buy kits that contain many elements such as flowers.

What is your favorite Trixie Scraps’ kit? Why?
There are so many fantastic kits. I have two favorite kits. Summer Garden and Saffron Blues are so bright and colorful. Our last winter was very long, cold and often gray and dark. So I needed more color. These kits are perfect!

Show us some of your favorite layouts…

My girls Nadja and Marena look so peacefull and the soft colors of the papers and elements fit very well with the pictures.

The pictures of my younger daughter Marena are so funny. I used one of my favorite kit for this page.

My daughters love stories about native americans and to dress up like them.

Besides scrapping, what’s one thing you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy the time with my family and nature in my spare time. We are very much in the open road. Bike riding, go swimming or walking. I usually take my camera with me. I often took very nice pictures. Sometimes we visit the zoo in Nuremberg or a theme park with our girls.
