Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Make It Hybrid Monday. Earlier this month, we learned how to make a pop up card using a few pieces of cardstock. Today, we’ll build upon that lesson to learn to make a spiral pop up card that will pop out your card pieces. I knew that as soon as I saw Trixie Scraps’ most recent collab with Britt-ish Designs, it would be fun to have cute adorable bears flying all over the place!
Supplies needed:
–   Patterned paper/ cardstock
–   Scissors
–   Circle punch
–   Glue/ glue dots
–   Elements
–   Embellishments
First, create the base card by folding the patterned paper/ cardstock in half and cutting two pieces of patterned paper/ cardstock to your desired size. I folded a 8.5×11 piece of paper with preprinted patterned papers in half to create the two cards.
Second, punch a 1.5 inch circle out of cardstock and create a spiral by cutting in a continuous circle around until there is about a .25 inch left uncut in the center.
Third, attach the circle on your folded cardstock by adhering the outside tail of your circle to the bottom of your card. Add a glue dot to the center uncut portion of your circle and close the card to adhere the circle to the top portion of your card. Attach your elements onto the spiral and decorate with embellishments as desired. I punched out additional hearts to accent the bears and added crystal accents.
Happy Crafting!
