Taking Inspriation from Khalil Gibran

Welcome to another Wisdom Wednesday on the Trixie Scraps blog. I am counting down the days until summer vacation…my children will be finished with school two weeks from today and then I will be done two days after that. I can’t wait!

I always struggle a little bit when I do this particular post. I find tons of inspirational quotes, but not many that jump out and scream “Scrap me!” For this month’s quote, I knew that I wanted to use some photos from our recent excursion to the strawberry patch, so I used that as my starting point. Little did I know that I would find the perfect quote, not only for my photos, but for life in general.

So what is the quote? It’s this:

There is quite a lot that I love about my life. I love my husband and our three wonderful children. I love our extended family – we are lucky enough to have all four of our parents still living and our siblings very active in our lives. I love my career. There was once a time where I was unsure of what I wanted to do. I always knew I wanted to teach, but I was never sure of the age. Currently, I am a high school teacher, teaching a comprehensive series of courses on early childhood. My high schoolers and I run a part-time preschool in our classroom…it is fantastic fun!

There are times where I feel the typical frustrations of life – not enough time to get things done in the day, finances too tight…you know the drill. All I need to do then is take a step back and realize that my “tree” is full of fruit and I have so much to be grateful for.
