Happy Saturday! It’s time for another edition of Saturday with the Stars. This week, instead of featuring a kit, I’m going to feature one of Trixie’s Scrap Stars, Shauna. She has an eye for page design that I’ve admired for a long time, and I think you’ll be inspired by her pages.
This first page uses the Sweetened With Gratitude Value Bundle. I love how she mixed so many patterned papers on here. Even though there are a lot of patterns, they all work together and never over power the photo.
On this page, Shauna used A Life’s That Good Value Bundle. Again, there is a nice mix of patterns and textures. Another of Shauna’s strengths is her clustering and shadows. She can make any greenery look like it’s popping right off the page. The flowers and greenery always have just the right amount of shadowing, at the right angle to make them look like you could reach out and touch them. It’s a skill I’ve always wished I could perfect on my own layouts.
Shauna used the Heart of a Friend Value Bundle here to make a page about her sister. Again, great clusters and shadowing! I also enjoy seeing the close relationship she has with her sister and their adorable little dogs.
Lastly, I picked this page, made with Remembering You Value Bundle. This page shows off everything I love about her scrapping – mixed patterns, great clusters, perfect shadowing and a great family photo.
