Saturday With The Stars: Believe In Your Dreams

Another weekend, another glimpse at what our Trixie Stars have been doing with Trixie’s kits lately.

This week we have an awesome kit to show you. A few days ago, Believe In Your Dreams was released at Ginger Scraps. Once again, Trixie got with Connie and they created this wonderful kit. It is a Wizard of Oz themed kit and it really is full of fun. I love the character elements as well as all the fun word strips. The ruby slippers are a wonderfully fun add on and there is no shortage of papers, either. Here’s a look:

The kit previews are always nice, but let’s take a look at what the Stars have done to really get us in the scrapping mood.

We’ll start off with Shauna. Once again she used this kit in a way that the kit wasn’t necessarily designed for. I love all the red elements she used and the way it plays off the blue. I also like that she was able to incorporate the word strip into her title. She has an awesome series of photos and the fun ruby slipper element on her page as well. And did you notice that the subject in the photo is also wearing red shoes? AWESOME!

Carrin has some wonderful layering going on in her layout. I like that everything is centered in the page and that the photo strip frame is positioned vertically. I love that her title is made up of tags and the alpha.

Our newest Star Kelly also used this kit in an everyday kind of way. I really like that she chose one word and used the word strips that had that word with it. She has some beautiful clusters and she chose some great papers to go along with her photos.

Kassie’s page is another everyday kind of page. She found a way to make word strips work for her layout as well and I really like this page design. The banners along the top and bottom of the page are a nice addition. I also really like how the blue arrows start at the bottom of one photo and ends at the top of the next, it really helps move your eyes to each picture.

Finally, let’s take a look at Beth’s page. Hers is such a heartfelt page and I’m almost in tears reading her journaling. It is such a sweet page for her daughter. I really enjoy the layered ribbons and papers and all the elements she was able to include in this page. I also think the black and white photo helps add to the feel of this layout.

I realize each of these pages uses this kit in a way that you wouldn’t normally think to use this kit. That just proves how amazing this kit truly is.
