Saturday With The Stars: Auld Lang Syne

Happiest of Saturdays to all of you wonderful Trixie Scraps fans. I hope that you are able to enjoy this Saturday and that you’ve got everything checked off your list before the next couple weeks get crazy.

This Saturday I’m going to show you what our stars have done with one of North Meets South Studios newest kits. It is called Auld Lang Syne and is the perfect kit for New Years layouts.

If the picture of the kit isn’t enough to convince you, take a look at what our stars have made.

I adore Kassie’s layout. I love that she used the banner as exactly that, a banner. I also like that she used a black background paper which allowed her plenty of room to use other papers under her photo. And I just gotta say, I love that picture.

Shauna’s page thrills me. I love all the papers used and the way they are laid out, I also love the cute picture of her kissing her doggie. But what I love most about this page is the journaling. I love that Shauna’s decided not to set goals or resolutions, but has simply decided to focus on bringing joy into her life. Love that!

I love all the photo frames Mary Kate used on her layout. I also think it’s an awesome idea to scrap all the snacks that you eat during that one night alone. Nice clusters really make this layout complete.

Lori’s page just has me giggling. Love that little baby face so excited, then the opposite side where the kid just can’t stay awake. So much fun. I’ve never thought to photograph my babies during New Year’s Eve, but perhaps I may start now. I also like all the accents Lori put in the background of her page, it helps the photos stand out, but still gives her page some dimension.

If you’re still not convinced about this kit – take a look at what Shawna did and it has nothing to do with New Years. Shawna used this kit for a portrait layout. I love all the photos she included in this layout as well as all the stitching. What a wonderful way to use this kit and one way I might use this kit myself.
