Saturday With The Stars: After Ten Years

Here’s a random fact for you: Trixie and I share the same wedding anniversary date. So when I saw Trixie’s newest kit After Ten Years, I was thrilled! I’m excited to get my hands on this kit with my anniversary coming up next month.

I wasn’t the only one excited by this kit. Take a look at what our stars put out this week.

Kim’s layout is wonderful. I love all the circles she put in this layout to make everything look uniform. The heart elements are so much fun. I also enjoy the frame being skewed with the picture matted. Such a neat idea.

Helen’s page is right up my alley. It’s exactly the kind of page I envisioned making with this kit. I love to show how time progresses in a layout and to see what kind of changes can happen in a few short years. Helen did a great job keeping the photos and the title the focal point of this layout. I love her use of papers in the background that help add just a little bit of ‘pop’.

I love what Stacey’s done with her page. (She promises she’ll get to the journaling). The blended photo in the back to work as the space for the journaling is a wonderful idea, but then to include a smaller snapshot of the same photo is an idea I absolutely adore. I love the border along the bottom of the page and love that this page can be more of a story-telling page, but still include pictures.

Carrin thought outside of the box and used this kit to showcase each of her precious babies shortly after birth. I love this idea for this kit. The colors work so nicely for baby pages because they are so subtle. And seriously who can resist the face of a sleeping baby?

I really do love it when the stars think outside of the box. Jennifer’s page makes me smile. I love her little guys looking like tough guys. I love the way the photos are arranged and all the ways she incorporated papers into this layout.
