TTT- Colors Convey Moods and Feelings

One thing I really love about scrapbooking is how colors in a layout can convey the moods and feelings in the photo. Color can affect how our emotions respond to things. When you are scrapbooking your history, you want to relate those emotions to the person looking at your layout. Here are a few examples from our Trixie Scrap Stars.

I LOVE this layout by Stacey- I just love how she used black and white photos but chose a kit with lots of color. It makes the layout look bright and happy and the colors evoke the feelings of love and friendship. Kit used- Spring in the Meadow.

This is one of my favorite layouts right now that Beth did. The green in this layout gives the feel of nature and freshness. Kit used- Make a Difference.

The blue background in Shauna’s layout really gives the feel of the blue sky. The elements finished off the layout perfectly. Kit used- Blue Skies Ahead.

Carrin’s layout with her family and the bright yellows, makes the layout explode with joy and happiness. Kit used- Natural Beauty.

So the next time you scrap a special picture that brings to your mind a certain feelings or mood, scrap with colors that convey that.
