Gift-wrapping is one of my very favorite things about the Christmas season.

Several years ago I read an article on simplifying the season that suggested picking signature colors for your holiday decorating. They suggested picking one metal color (gold or silver) and one Christmas neutral (red, green, or blue). It makes it so much easier to buy ornaments and decorations on sale after the holiday when you already know how you’ll be decorating next year.

I took it one step further and extended that concept to my gift wrapping. I use a roll of painter’s kraft paper from the hardware store to wrap my gifts and then I can change the accessories to make each year new.
