Hi fans! Trixie Scraps Star Laina here, writing today’s blog post! When I was asked to interview someone for this week’s Sunday Spotlight, I was immediately excited to choose Trista aka scrappyt. All her layouts are gorgeous and inspiring!

1. What is life like at your house? (husband, pets, children, etc)
Life at home is crazy, chaotic, and fun! There is never a dull moment with two young kids around, well three if you count my DH.

2. If you were a superhero, which super power would you choose to have?
Okay, not really a super power from any known superhero, but so wish that I could capture and print photos of memories out of my head. There are times when a camera was not available or even worse when a precious photo was lost, so to be able to recall a memory and capture it would be the best super power ever!!

3. If I baked cookies just for you, which type would you want?
Without a doubt Chocolate Chip!! Yum! Now I must see about making a batch.

4. What inspires your layouts, i.e. templates, kits, other’s galleries, children, etc
Yes… all of those! 🙂 I would have to say that my children inspire me the most, since my family is the reason I have this hobby of memory keeping. I may see something in the gallery that sparks a memory of a similar event or an emotion and I work from there. Templates help me a great deal by giving me a starting point. At times the specific theme or

an item in a kit is inspiration

enough for me to recall an event that I want to scrap.

5. What is one of your favorite elements to use?
Foliage, foliage, foliage. I would say that 98% of my pages include greenery of some kind. If I am using flowers there has got to be some sort of greenery to make it feel complete.

6. What time of day do you often scrap?
I am a night owl. I generally do not get computer/scrap time until the evenings once all of the housework is done and the kids are sleeping.

This is one of my favorite pages. It uses one of my favorite Trixie kits… Winter in the Mountains. I really like all of the texture on the page. The plaid worn papers are the best!!!
