So, along the way you’ve had a chance to read some fun stories about everyone’s favorite birthdays, right? I decided I wanted to tell you about my husband’s recent birthday just a couple weeks ago. I surprised him with a weekend getaway to Pittsburgh, PA. Erick went to college in Pittsburgh and I think a big part of him really misses the steel city! I had never been there and we were desperately needing a vacation, even if a mini vacation is about all we can do right now. So, Pittsburgh seemed the perfect birthday present. Here is where I thank all my customers because your business helped me save up the dough to afford the trip – so THANK YOU!

I have to admit, it didn’t take long for me to easily understand why Erick loves the city as much as he does. I think I fell in love with it, too! We were there less than 24 hours when I turned to him and said “If you ever wanted to move here some day, I could live here. I would like it.” Of course, we took tons of photos and crammed as much fun as we could into our short stay… but some of my favorite photos from the trip have to do with our stop at Erick’s favorite place to eat while he was in college – Primanti Bros. They make these really great sandwiches with fresh bread, coleslaw AND french fries – all on the sandwich. And, after hearing about the place for so many years, I have to say… seeing the smile on his face when he took his first bite was priceless. It was a great birthday 🙂

And now, the reason that you are all here, right?? Here is my contribution to the blog train. I made a quickpage for you this time!
