For today’s Triple T Tuesday, I’m sharing something I love to do for my layouts, which is making my own word art! Often, I’m inspired by the word art a designer includes in their kits, and I love to use it! But sometimes, a layout requires something just a little extra special, or completely unique to a theme or situation, like my layout today.

First, decide on what you’d like to say for your word art.
This could be a famous quote, phrase, or a quirky quote from your journaling. A simple internet search for the theme of your choice, such as “Love Quotes”, will give you many options from which to choose.

After deciding on your text, type the quote into the program of your choice. I scrap with an older Japanese version of Photoshop, but making your own word art is so fun and easy, it shouldn’t matter what program you use, the basics can be adapted. I type my words, each in their own text layer, with a layer of white as a background to make it easier to see.Next, comes the fun part: Fonts and Sizes! Simply highlight your text and choose a font you think conveys the mood you’re hoping to convey. There are plenty of free font sites out there from which to download. I used a couple of my favorites, including Love Ya Like a Sister, Journal and Car-go. This is also the time to play with sizing and spacing of your words. When you like the look of your word art, merge the layers together (Ctrl + E) and this is a good time to save it as a PNG.
And finally we have the final layout. I mostly used pieces from Gotta Hug to create a fun and light hearted layout about a conversation and let the photo and journaling take center stage. Give it a try! Make your own word art to give your pages an extra-personal feel!
